Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Consultant Director of Operations to oversee and enhance the operational efficiency of our boutique hotel resort. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in managing hotel operations internationally, with a proven ability to lead teams and optimize performance in a luxury setting. Fluency in both English and Spanish is essential to communicate effectively with our diverse team and clientele.
Key Responsibilities:
– Operational Management: Lead and manage all operational aspects of the hotel resort, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and exceptional guest satisfaction. This includes overseeing front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage services, and maintenance.
– Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to improve operational efficiency, guest experience, and overall performance. Analyze current operations and identify areas for improvement.
– Team Leadership: Provide guidance and support to department heads and staff, fostering a positive work environment and ensuring high standards of service. Conduct regular performance reviews and training sessions.
– Financial Oversight: Monitor and manage budgets, financial performance, and cost control measures. Develop financial strategies to optimize profitability and operational sustainability.
– Guest Experience: Enhance the guest experience by ensuring that all services meet the highest standards of quality and addressing any issues or feedback promptly.
– Compliance: Ensure that the resort complies with all local regulations and industry standards, including health and safety requirements.
– Vendor and Stakeholder Management: Oversee relationships with suppliers, vendors, and other external partners to ensure high-quality service and cost-effectiveness.
– Marketing and Sales Support: Collaborate with the marketing and sales team to support promotional activities and strategies that drive occupancy and revenue.
Qualifications:
– Fluency in English and Spanish: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both languages are essential for interacting with guests, staff, and stakeholders.
– Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in hotel operations management, with substantial experience in managing operations overseas, particularly in luxury or boutique settings.
– Leadership Skills: Proven track record of effective leadership and team management, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
– Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of financial management, budgeting, and cost control in a hospitality context.
– Problem-Solving Abilities: Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to handle complex situations with diplomacy and efficiency.
– Cultural Sensitivity: Experience working in multicultural environments and understanding of local customs and practices in Mexico.
– Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
