Job Description
As a Legal Advisor Intern, you will assist in ensuring legal compliance, drafting and reviewing contracts, researching international business regulations, and supporting the legal framework of our upcoming global platform. You will work closely with the legal and business development teams, gaining hands-on experience in corporate law, intellectual property, data protection, and cross-border business transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research on international business laws, data privacy (GDPR, CCPA), and digital platform regulations.
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts (NDAs, partnership agreements, vendor contracts, etc.).
- Support compliance efforts for the new match-making platform, including terms of service, privacy policies, and user agreements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (tech, business, marketing) to ensure legal alignment with company objectives.
- Monitor and analyse legal risks associated with global expansion and digital operations.
- Assist in intellectual property protection (trademarks, copyrights) for the platform.
- Provide multilingual legal support in Arabic, French, and other languages as needed.
- Issue legal notices to customers with overdue invoice payments.
- Initiate legal action against customers involved in disputes or persistent non-payment.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Law, Legal Studies, or a related field.
- Fluent in Arabic & French (written and spoken); additional languages (English, Spanish, etc.) are a strong plus.
- Tech-savvy with a strong interest in digital platforms, startups, and legal tech (familiarity with SaaS, e-commerce, or match-making platforms is a bonus).
- Basic understanding of corporate law, contract law, and data protection regulations.
- Strong research, analytical, and drafting skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting while collaborating with global teams.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and adaptable to a fast-moving startup environment.
